Quality seeds from the Growers segment
■ Tarragon Samira is a perennial plant. Its flavour is mildly bitter, much less pungent than wormwood or mugwort.
■ The lanceolate leaves grow on often very long stems. The plant grows about 1 m high.
■ Tarragon likes sun. Transplant between May and August at 30 x 30 cm intervals.
■ In July-August can also be sown in a seedbed directly in the garden. To prevent excessive spring growth, prune the plants every now and then.
■ The pruned leaves can be dried on the stems.
■ Harvest: the leaves as needed. Application: with lamb, chicken and egg dishes.
■ Indispensable in béarnaise sauce. Also in the preparation of herb vinegar.
