Vermiculite grain M3, Agra

Vermiculite belongs to the phyllosilicate minerals such as mica. Crude vermiculite is a mineral consisting of golden brown flakes with a layered structure. The mineral is purified and separated into different grades. This raw material is processed in special ovens at a temperature of about 750 °C. During this process, the bound water in the ore turns into vapour, which leads to the exfoliation of the flakes. A harmonica-shaped structure is then formed, containing many air cells. It is these air cells where vermiculite gets its specific properties for horticulture to it. At the end of the production process, a beige, harmonica-shaped granulate is created: Vermiculite.

Agra-vermiculite consists of a harmonica-shaped structure, which contains many air cells. Agra-vermiculite is also an environmentally friendly product and has very good moisture retention capacity in addition to its large air capacity. Agra-vermiculite is RHP/ECAS certified.

Applications

Agra-vermiculite is excellent as a propagation medium for bulbous plants. Agra-vermiculite has also proven successful as an additive to potting soils, cuttings, sowing soils and plugs. Use as a reputable seed dusting agent is an ideal way for Agra-vermiculite to do its job as a seeding medium.
