■ A beautiful variegated single-flowered mixture with dark foliage that does very well as a hanging plant in somewhat larger containers or tubs.
■ Also good for use as a rounding off a flowerbed or at the water's edge etc.
■ The spicy peppery-tasting leaves and especially the flowers are mixed through salads.
■ Sow directly on site for use as ground cover.
■ East Indian Cress or Tropaeolum do not fertilise or very little.
■ The freshly harvested seeds are sometimes pickled as capers.
